Who is creative?

creativity quote
There is a creative spark in all of us. We just need to learn to ignite it

You! Your brother, your sister, your next door neighbor! Everyone!!

There a certain terms we associate with creativity namely; innovation, creation, and imagination!  Almost everyone I knew growing up had an imaginary friend. Every child constantly keeps an open mind to new possibilities, creating new stories, and never fails to ask the question “why?”.

Famous people known for their creativity:

From the book: Higher Creativity, Liberating the unconscious for breakthrough insights

by Willis Harman and Howard Rheingold

-Nikola Tesla

A famous inventor responsible for the revolutionary alternating current (responsible for the distribution of electricity), the tesla coil creating the first neon signs, x-rays, radio, and laser, among other amazing feats.

By using a technique called “picture thinking” Tesla was able to visualize, to specific detail, what each invention was, how it would be made, and what it would do without ever drawing it!  Tesla has proven the use of visualization a critical component of creativity.

-Rene Descartes

A philosopher who invented the foundation for science.

He wrote:

  1. 1.Never to accept anything for true which I do not clearly know to be such.
  2. Divide each of the difficulties under examination into as many parts as possible.
  3. Begin with the simplest and easiest and then work step by step to the more complex.
  4. Make enumerations so complete and reviews so general that I might be assured that nothing is omitted.

Descartes came up with these rules through a series of dreams where he learned the inner workings of his unconscious mind.  Proof that through using different mindsets and accessing deeper levels of the brain everyone is able to find their creativity.
